Happy Halloween

Well, this Halloween rather than having one of Justin's notorious haunted houses we went to Michigan instead. Although, it was not Halloween that enticed us to go to Michigan we did arrive just in time to have just as much chaos there as we do when Justin is preparing and planning his haunted house!

When we finally arrived in Michigan it was a little bit after midnight so this was just a slight hint of how long and crazy our day was going to be. The first thing on the agenda was to head to our house to get the keys! Once that was done we headed up to Coney Island for some lunch then on to Toys R Us for the Parade. Jamie went with us and her friends the Crawford's met us there. Also meeting us there were Katelyn's friends Ella and Layla! Katelyn and the other kids had fun walking around and getting things at the various stations, but the rest of us weren't overly impressed with the organizational part of the parade, but hey it was for the kids right! Once that was done we made a few quick pit stops to see Grandma Maryann at work and Grandma Lynn (on our way back to our house). Katelyn then met Austin outside at school (in her costume) to give him a hug (in front of everyone) it was really cute. All this was done by 3:00 so we could get to the stores to get the stuff needed to work on our house either later that night or on Saturday.

Baelaya, Courtney, Grandma Kathie and Grandpa Don were going to meet up with us for trick-or-treating in Marysville that night, but Bae got really sick so they had to cancel. About 5:30 after eatting and some trips to the stores for house stuff we were off to Kelly and Andy's so Katelyn could go trick-or-treating with Ella and Layla. We were there for about an hour before we got a call to head back towards our house. Justin dropped us off at the end of our street so katelyn could get some more trick-or-treating in; however, once we got about half way down the road Katelyn decided that she didn't want anymore candy. Aunt Jamie was passing out candy at our house but the power got turned off so she was sitting at the end of the driveway with the bags of candy. Katelyn had more fun passing out candy then she did trick-or-treating. She was able to talk Uncle Chris into taking her, but again she wanted to bail so I had to carry her while Chris and Justin laughed!

All in all it was a really good but VERY LONG day.
